Habitat ReStore and Arts for Hearts Resume Free Community Art Classes

Clarksville, TN – Habitat for Humanity ReStore and Art for Hearts invite the community to free art and craft classes twice monthly at 404 Madison St.

The next event is a String Art Pull Class with Lauren Burroughs Kovaleksi. Admission is free, but space is limited. Register through EVENTBRITE.

These events feature local artists leading participants in a variety of projects open to all skill levels.

“This is a really fun partnership,” said Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Rob Selkow. “We wanted to utilize space in our store for something creative, fun and affordable and the volunteers of Arts for Hearts have made it possible.”

The mission of Art for Hearts is to engaged the community through participation in the arts. The ReStore supports Habitat for Humanity’s home-building program through the resale of donated home-improvement items and furniture.

The classes are offered bi-monthly on the third Tuesday from 5:30-7:30 pm and the last Saturday from 1:00-3:00 pm. 

There is no admission charge and all supplies are provided. Participants should wear clothing they don’t mind getting messy.

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County is a Christian ministry that partners with families in poverty housing on construction of new homes through 0% interest loans and using donated funds, labor and materials. 

The Clarksville based ministry is seeking individuals, churches and local companies for volunteer projects related to eliminating poverty housing in Montgomery County. For information, email info@habitatmctn.org.
