Habitat for Humanity Women Build 2012
The mission of the Women Build Department of Habitat for Humanity International is to work through affiliates to nurture, recruit and train women to build simple, decent, affordable houses. Women Build brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children worldwide. Nationwide, Women Build events have helped to construct more than 1,900 houses. Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County is hosting Women Build 2012 to celebrate its 20 years of service in our community. Our Women Build Committee is led by 20-women from all walks of life, occupations, and backgrounds. Together, they will fundraise, coordinate, build and dedicate one new home in 2012. A BIG thank you to our Tool Sponsors!
We are recruiting for Women Build volunteers!
The exciting part about Women Build is picking up the hammer and building new friendships with fellow Women Builder members. We’re excited to offer this opportunity in Clarksville and with your support we can do it again and again. We’re accepting registrations for general volunteering for on the house build through June, July and early August. When you register, you’ll be entered into a database for future emails notifying you of build day opportunities. Once you register for a specific day, you will be reminded via email and phone about your schedule. Because we cannot take all volunteers on a build site, we will offer varying build times throughout the build day while limiting the options to first come, first serve status. The schedule may change pending construction and weather delays.

In Kind Sponsorship
Thank you to the following businesses for donated coffee, donuts and water to our April 14th Lowe’s Clinic

Discounted and donated materials and services help Habitat and Women Build keep building costs low. This also helps keep mortgages affordable for homeowners, as the mortgage includes direct and in-direct costs of home building. Consider an in-kind donation as a way to help Habitat and Women Build keep new home construction affordable for quality low-income partner families. These donations (depending on value) are eligible for sponsorships.
