Committees
Family Selection Committee
This committee is responsible for selecting qualified families with which the affiliate will partner.
It conducts outreach and orientation for potential applicants, screens applications, maintains records, and recommends families to the board for selection, while adhering to applicable fair housing and lending laws.
Resource Development Committee
This committee ensures the affiliate has the resources it needs to support its work and attain its goals. It drafts a diversified development plan, reaches out to donors, nurtures donor relationships, and engages the full Board of Directors in the development process. This committee includes public and church relations activities.
Family Support Committee 
This committee assists selected partner families on the path to homeownership, and often continues the support relationship during the first year following occupancy. The committee ensures that families understand and meet their partnership responsibilities. It tracks sweat equity hours, advocates on the family’s behalf, and provides mentorship and educational programming. The committee plays a vital role in helping partner families succeed as homeowners.
Homeowner Relations Committee
This committee works with homeowners who need assistance and guidance in meeting their mortgage payment requirements. This committee develops action plans, offers community referrals and implements legal resources to recover mortgage payments in a timely, efficient manner.
Building and Site Selection Committee
This committee manages the affiliate’s construction program. It selects appropriate house plans, budgets for projects, orders materials, coordinates the construction schedule, and makes sure codes are followed. In addition, this committee is in charge of tracking expenses, supervising construction volunteers and ensuring site safety. The Building and Site Selection Committee also helps educate partner families about construction and home maintenance.
ReStore Committee
This committee oversees the development of the business, marketing and volunteer areas to ensure a successful operation that grow profits to support home construction while fulfilling its mission of renew, reuse and recycling building materials, appliances and furniture.
